A splendid estate immersed in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside, with views stretching all the way to the sea on clear days
Studio Riviello – Architetti Associati, based in Rome, oversaw the complete renovation of this 1990s farmhouse nestled in the peaceful landscape of Pescia Fiorentina, a hamlet in the municipality of Capalbio, Tuscany. A beautiful estate nestled in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside, with views stretching to the sea on clear days.

The project involved a full transformation of the old rural structure into a luxury residence, achieved through a contemporary restoration that encompassed both the 300-square-metre interior and the outdoor areas, including porticos, the garden, and the swimming pool.

The architecture is defined by clean lines, pitched roofs, and a small internal courtyard that surrounds a lemon tree, a natural element that blends with elegance and simplicity into the home’s minimalist geometry. Different colour palettes were chosen for the interior and exterior, helping to define the identity of each space while remaining in harmony with the natural context.

Indoors, lime plaster in a soft Jasmine shade was applied to both walls and exposed ceiling beams, which were painted in a warm white. The terracotta flooring ensures continuity throughout, while the use of light, desaturated tones for the contemporary elements – furnishings, curtains, doors, and windows – preserves a serene, cohesive atmosphere.
