In Costa Smeralda, a new concept of villa retreat emerges: an innovative and contemporary work of art
The deep desire to inhabit and experience the island, which for millennia has stood proud and granite-like in one of Italy’s most beautiful seas, has brought together, in an empathetic and tangible way, the vision and dreams of an imaginative and forward-thinking owner with the creativity and originality of a revolutionary artist.

Thus, the owner, Alberto Romano Pedrina, and the artist, Mauro Milani – one inspired by the idea of a sanctuary home as a place of memory, a safe and welcoming “maternal womb”, and the other drawing on the early architects of Costa Smeralda, such as the French Jacques Couëlle and the Italian Luigi Vietti – came together to jointly design and realise a new and welcoming seaside retreat, with all the hallmarks of an exclusive villa retreat.

Inspired by the Nuragic ruins and the powerful, monolithic local rocks, the dwelling has been sculpted as an airy and evocative work of art, where interiors and exteriors harmoniously intertwine.
The reinforced concrete architecture has been sculpted to resemble stone, enhanced by the lightness of large windows, through which the sea can be glimpsed from every bedroom and bathroom.

The artist, through the sculptural process of subtraction rather than addition, has seamlessly integrated the masterpiece into the Mediterranean maquis, fulfilling all the owner’s dreams and desires. Yet the visionary design spirit of the owner, united with the artist’s sculptural creativity, does not end here: soon, other properties will become crucibles of emotion, reaching for new horizons.
