A bespoke townhouse designed for relaxation and total comfort, created for a young Neapolitan professional with a dynamic vision of contemporary living
Designing and overseeing the complete makeover of a small yet comfortable townhouse for a young client: this was the challenge taken on by Sonia Cocozza, an established interior designer and journalist in the world of design and architecture.

The property is in a prime location in Naples, right in the heart of Vomero. Within its 33 square metres, the interior designer has created a refined space, capable of accommodating all essential functions while offering a high level of comfort. Located in the courtyard of a historic noble building, this pied-à-terre was once the porter’s lodge, later a professional studio, and finally a luxurious home.

Great attention was paid to materials, as seen in the exposed tuff walls, deliberately left visible to offer a fresh decorative perspective. The spatial composition is highlighted by precise stylistic choices, starting with the glazed, flame-treated terracotta flooring, handcrafted by the historic De Martino kiln. Black and white serve as the guiding theme of the colour palette, paving the way for other decorative choices.

The kitchen area is completely concealed behind a bespoke partition: a series of arches shapes a portal that, in some cases, serves as storage modules. This element appears again in the living area, where it conceals a recess used as a bookshelf. In the bedroom, everything revolves around the Flag bed by Bolzan, enhanced by two brushed brass side tables.
