In the serene oasis of a 15th-century monastery, an elegant makeover breathes new life into a refined Veronese residence
Set amidst the renowned hills of Verona, known as the Torricelle, lies a former 15th-century monastery, surrounded by the tranquil hush of the original religious structure and the charm of a fragrant, colourful garden, the home has been modernised and reimagined within its historic setting by architect Mario Bellavite of Arcade Progettazione Integrata, in collaboration with the interior designers of Zeus Arredamenti.

In this sophisticated makeover, historical elements from the past have been carefully reinterpreted as decorative features, allowing them to live on in the present. They seamlessly blend with contemporary furnishings and new spatial solutions, further enhanced by the choice of refined doors by Bordoni.

Here, parquet and porcelain stoneware floors reflect a refined harmony and intimate sense of seclusion. Glossy wainscoting, completed with flush-to-the-wall doors, unifies the entrances to each room, while carefully studied lighting adds subtle, scenic effects.

Ultimately, modernity here not only embraces but enhances history with innovation and sustainability. Advanced technical systems, natural hemp insulation, and the soft lime finishes from the Brenta region ensure optimal comfort and high energy efficiency.
