An original and fascinating project – that stems from the intense dialogue between architecture and nature – gave life to a one-of-a-kind and evocative habitat.
Architect Giovanni Ricciuti – project manager, and partner of Bottega Studio Architetti – accompanied and collaborated with Alessandra and Marco – the owners –, in the renovation process of their home, working both on the interior and on the external shell of the building.
Flexible spaces, genuine materials and the continuous search for a timeless design are the values that BSA has developed during its experience, and in which the owners recognized themselves.

Immersed in La Mandria Regional Park, the villa has a strong connection with nature, which ideally enters the building thanks to the large glazed openings.
The building is spread over two floors: it covers approximately 500 square meters, and it has a swimming pool in the large garden. Here, the design stars are the materials, such as marble and steel, softened by parquet and textiles. Light and matter are the common thread of the entire project.
The beams of light, both natural and artificial, shape and define the internal environments, accompanying the observer’s eye and creating a flexible space architecture. A house with this kind of flexibility can experience both convivial and intimate moments.

This balance was achieved through large portals – sliding or with doors –, which modify the perception of the volumes according to their use.
The second theme concerns materials that express their authenticity without particular surface treatments. The tactile features and their interaction are used to give a soul and a spirit to an inanimate object.
Contrasts guide the design choices: the dialogue between light and shadow, between dark and light colours, between warm materials such as parquet and cold ones such as marble and steel.
Everything is strongly connected to the character and history of the owners who, with fine research and careful restyling, have also given new life to the precious family furnishings… A project marked by a timeless design with its own identity, capable to last over time.
