Andrea Mascagni is… Red. Like the passion that ignites his work, the enthusiasm that marks his design approach, and the warm and at the same time refined atmosphere that he wants to recreate in his spaces.
Red, simply like his favourite colour. Vibrant, energetic, seductive, without ever losing harmony. Like someone who loves to dare with grace, in the name of apparently antithetical correspondences.
The dominant red is also Andrea Mascagni’s stylistic signature within Timothee Studio, founded in 2018 in Florence, together with Niccolò Antonielli and Cosimo Bonciani, friends since childhood.
A leading reality in the world of architecture and design, the studio specializes in residential, retail and hospitality projects, distinguishing itself for its innovative and unconventional vision, both in the design of spaces and in the creation of furnishings and accessories.
What contribution do you bring to Timothee Studio? “I would say I have a key role because I deal with the project at 360°, from the development of the concept to the graphic design, up to the final presentation for the client. I like to offer a vision that is as complete and exhaustive as possible, from the planning to the interior design, up to the more purely decorative aspects. A meticulous job, therefore, based on tailoring.”
Timothee Studio is in Florence, therefore located in Tuscany, the cradle of Made-in-Italy craftsmanship. How important is this in your projects? “For me, it is a real inspiration, an aspect that I try to keep in my works. In this regard, I like to mention Marcello Mori and Ermanno Ermini for their professionalism, but also for their strength and soul.”
Timothee Studio is a space with a double soul that talks about synergies between interior design and art. How did this space come about? “It is a very interesting project: in the back, we have the studio, while the front is used as a gallery, where we make the interiors coexist with pieces of contemporary art and modern antiques, setting up an exhibition every four months.
Energy that flows in a palette of colors… naturally in shades of red.
