In the creations of FNA Concept, the poetics of spaces are nourished by a timeless identity and harmony with the territory
You can breathe elegance and a lot of respect for the territory in the projects designed by architect Francesca Neri Antonello, owner of the FNA Concept studio.
This is due to his transversal training and his overflowing desire to constantly confront the genius loci, to experiment with combinations of materials.

This is what the life story of Francesca Neri Antonello says: from her origins in Lima, Peru, to the many experiences from one continent to another, between Washington, Bologna, Milan, and Lugano. And it is precisely from this territory, so strongly identifiable, that the inspiration for the book “Living the Alps”, published by Rizzoli, was born.
“The volume presents seven projects realized exclusively in the Swiss Alps. These creations express so much of me and my way of working, given that I really live in the atmospheres of these places. It was destiny that brought me to work in the Alps, given that I lived many years on the Pacific, in a completely different scenario. However, the sea and the mountains have a lot in common…”

The watchword of your projects could be: respect… Of the genius loci, of the identity of the territory, and of the authenticity of the materials that you use. “My work unfolds like a tailored story that never refers to a codified beauty. I always put precision, symmetry, attention to detail but, deliberately, also a lot of imperfection, irony, and studied contrasts…”

Where do your projects begin? “From the automatic vision that I immediately have of the space. It is an innate gift of mine: I can immediately see the finished project. It is what happens to directors who already know the ending of their film and only then start selecting actors, background actors, and stage costumes.”

What have the many places you have lived in left you, personally and professionally? “I consider myself a perfect mix, not studied at a desk. Peru suggests to me the splendour of a Latin American country, with its colours and its history; Italy conveys to me the elegance and value of culture; Switzerland represents for me the rigour, efficiency, civil respect, and the importance of the community, elements that are today the great strength of my profession; the United States then, have given me so much on an educational level, also communicating to me the importance of dealing with scales that are much larger and so diversified from each other.”
A vocabulary in continuous evolution, which feeds on professionalism, emotion, and creative synergies, replicating the unusual pleasure of imperfect beauty.
The interview continues on DENTROCASA on newsstands and online.
