The eagerly awaited latest edition of NOMAD on the island of Capri has just ended.
Once again, the stunning venue was the historic 14th-century monastery Certosa di San Giacomo, an extraordinary location with vaulted rooms, magnificent cloisters and gardens, and splendid views of the Tyrrhenian Sea / Bay of Naples has been the perfect backdrop for NOMAD Capri.
It has been the perfect backdrop for the curated selection of international galleries and special projects that NOMAD assembled: the third chapter of the exciting“Artists in Flux” exhibition powered by GUCCI, the second Sustainable Design Summit organized in collaboration with AD Italia, a special focused exploration of Murano glass by cutting-edge designers and artists, an amalgam of significant architectural projects, and some surprises, of course.

Over the years, NOMAD has established itself as a global platform that celebrates creativity, innovation, and the intersection of art, design, and architecture. By carefully selecting the location of each edition together with each participating gallery and artist, NOMAD ensuresan immersive but at the same time bespoke experience for visitors that reflects the very best in contemporary art and collectible design.
One of the highlights of NOMAD’s Capri showcase was the presence of renowned design and contemporary art exhibitors, such as Nilufar Gallery (Milan), Friedman Benda (New York), Le Lab Experimental Atelier (Cairo), Muse Gallery (Monaco) Studio Trisorio (Napoli/ Capri), and Volumnia (Piacenza).
Nilufar Gallery showcased a variety of works by artists and designers, including Christian Pellizzari, Anestis Michalis, Objects of Common Interest, Lola Montes Schnabel, and Analogia Project. Friedman Benda presented the work of American designer Misha Khan.

Volumnia presented a harmonious composition of Italian historical design furniture and ceramic pieces from the ‘30s and ‘70s.

NILUFAR
Nilufar participated in the 12th edition of the travelling showcase of contemporary art and collectible design, NOMAD Capri, with a singular installation that complemented the interdisciplinary dialogue promoted by the fair, experimenting with various styles, techniques and materials.
A large installation with new creations by Christian Pellizzari served as the centrepiece; alongside it, pieces signed by the gallery’s designers and artists, all revolving around the theme of nature and organic elements, enriched the showcase.
Nilufar’s founder, Nina Yashar, proposed a display thoughtfully conceived to harmonize with the poetic location of Certosa di San Giacomo. “I’ve been desiring to introduce an installation with organic elements of nature as the key protagonist for quite some time now. The astounding context of NOMAD Capri in the Certosa location served as the ideal opportunity, an invitation to develop a rich and concurrently enriching creative narrative between art, territory and natural landscape”, said Yashar.

The installation by Christian Pellizzari formed a captivating display primarily focused on floral glasswork, featuring natural elements and climbing artworks that adorned the walls.
Surrounding it, were the new sculptural pieces‘Out of Nowhere’ by Anestis Michalis, the iridescent low tables and desk from the entirely-made of resinPoikilos collection by Objects of Common Interest, a selection of ceramic Artichokes candleholders, two stools and a long table by Lola Montes Schnabel, together with the Acquario mirror and console by Analogia Project.
