The Chant VI collection draws its inspiration from Dante’s Divine Comedy. The collection explorestheauthor’schants, more precisely, focusing on the 6th chant. The context is medieval and religious, with a lexicon characterized by raw imagery and a dark description of the human condition.
The medieval inspiration resonates throughout the collection; through the shape of the legs of the Argenti chair, the geometric forms of the Styx stool, or even in the hexagonal shape of the Dite table, direct references to the bell tower. The red cloak characterizing Dante Alighieri covers the chair of the same name. The color red is also used for the lacquered furnishings of the Dite table and the Phlegyas.

The inspiration for the Virgil chair refers to the poet’s Georgics through the floral fabric of the seat. Virgil could refer to a guide like chaplains and chapels were during the medieval period.
