The breath of nature, the peace of the water and the mountains, the truth of the landscape. Going back to basics and being yourself, this is what we find at Seehof Nature Retreat.

The pleasure of an enveloping and familiar atmosphere. You can experience a poetic “retreat” at Seehof Nature Retreat, in the heart of the Eisack Valley, in Natz-Schabs, a few kilometres from Brixen.
A “village” with environments and rooms overlooking a lake surrounded by Scots pines and apple trees. An exclusive natural experience that comes from family history and love for one’s land.

Tamaris Seehof said: “My in-laws started in 1965. They worked mainly in the summer, people came here looking for a cool place and fresh air, they rented a few rooms, there were cows grazing, as well as the natural lake and the landscape that still surrounds us today.
Later, when my husband Andreas finished his military service at the age of twenty-one, he took over the family business and started promoting it for group tourism. For about thirty years, we continued in this direction, with expansions and renovations, until the turning point in 2013.”
It is a story of love and genuineness that gave birth to Seehof Nature Retreat. Tamaris Seehof told us about the origins: she is Andreas Seehof’s wife, they have been married since 2003, and they collaborate in the tourist business.

Inspired by the values of Feng shui – “wind-water”, the harmony achieved through the balance between the two principles of the Whole, Yin and Yang – and the Belgian model, the Seehof experience stems from the collaboration between architects and the landscaper Ivo Gasser.
The integration between nature and design, the project to create a “haven” – and not a chalet – for an unspoilt and protected “cocoon experience”, where the person is at the core: here, you can breathe again, you can be yourself, and indulge in the nature.
The well-finished furnishings call to mind nature. Light, wood, straw; each element leads back to the origins, to what we desire, to rediscover the deep meaning of ourselves.

Tamaris added: “We have created a space for books, a small library with a selection of local volumes and other publications, because we want our destination to be a place where you can also feel at home, in an intimate and familiar way.”
Fire ignites the soul, water appeases the spirits, light illuminates what is essential and books evoke the untouched surrounding nature that the Seehof family has been able to enhance and preserve.
