Palazzo Vecchio, the 5-star boutique hotel in the heart of Taormina: a heaven of elegance

The crenellated tower, which from its height dominates the airy Gothic-Catalan terrace and the underlying panorama of sea and rocks, looks like the medieval one in Piazza della Signoria in Florence. Perhaps also for this reason, the unmistakable 5-star boutique hotel in the heart of Taormina is called Palazzo Vecchio.

It is a 19th-century accommodation facility with an enviable location: elevated, almost perched on the 16th-century walls, and enclosed between the alleys of the splendid town, with the bay of Giardini Naxos and the ancient Greek theatre not far away.

Palazzo Vecchio opened to the public in 2023, completely revisited in its interior decor, with tailored furnishings that adorn the 12 luxury suites with different languages: contemporary, baroque, Moroccan, elegant, and romantic. Imagination and colour also imbue the shared areas.

Inside Palazzo Vecchio, there is also the Monsù restaurant – the name is inspired by the famous chefs of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies –, led by chef Giuseppe Privitera. Another unmissable gem of Palazzo Vecchio is the panoramic terrace dotted with plants, including bougainvilleas, orange blossoms, and jasmines. Here, we find Blue Sky Bar: a perfect location for a drink with a view of Mount Etna and the beach.
