Monaci delle Terre Nere is a Relais Château accommodation offers 24 rooms with a magnetic charm and a magmatic soul.

Monaci delle Terre Nere is a hotel created in the ancient spaces of the Order of Discalced Augustinians of Valverde, scattered over 25 hectares of volcanic soil on the slopes of Mount Etna.

At Relais Château Monaci delle Terre Nere, the owner Guido Coffa, founder of the winery of the same name and of this fascinating eco-wine resort, has made a precise choice: to preserve the naturalistic ensemble of the place, to pay homage to a generous soil and a strongly energetic harmony, but above all to turn this piece of paradise into a structure open to charming hospitality, in the fullest sense of the term.

So, he first enhanced the central body of the agglomeration – a noble villa from the 1700s –, by creating a reception with a restaurant, bar and cellar, then, disseminating just as much wonder in the surrounding landscape, with an extensive complex of 12 exclusive residences equipped with private pools.
The result is a relais with contemporary luxury, where inner well-being is the underlying leitmotif and privacy is the first commandment. It is an Albergo Diffuso, a hotel where the rooms are spread out in various buildings within a small town or community, generally of historical significance.

The perfect balance between ancient and modern has resulted in measured luxury, made of simple and at the same time very interesting elements.
Some iconic suites, located even 800 metres from the main building but easily reachable thanks to the golf cart service, feature environments with enveloping colours, large bedrooms, living rooms that recall the country style, and verandas that overlook oak woods.
