Two elegant apartments from the 1970s become a single, elegant residence that overlooks
the sea through fluid and enveloping spaces, rich in charm and curious perspectives.
Combining the past, to create a modern story: this 300-square-metre habitat exemplifies this concept: it was created from the union of two old and distinguished apartments, once devoid of their original charm.
Today, their natural decay did not stop the creativity of the designers at Uno Design Studio, led by Anastasia and Ruslan Perekokin, an architect and an interior designer, who turned the spaces into a single enchanting residence with large, attractive, and functional areas.

They told us: “At the entrance, there were six-metre-high mezzanines. We decided to keep them as they were, modifying the access stairs to preserve the precious surface.
The style is modern and elegant, starting with the selection of materials and colours. For the coverings in the living area, we used matte white Travertine-coloured stoneware, fabric/leather-effect wallpaper, and black metal graphic inserts to add movement.”

By descending one of the two staircases, you reach a large 60-square-metre living room with a stunning sea view and private garden. The windows become panoramic showcases with triple glazing, one of which is acoustic and another is UV-resistant, ensuring that the living room does not absorb excessive heat in summer.
The living area, once divided in half by a double wall, is now a single space dedicated to relaxation and dining; it also has a kitchen with an island. The master bedroom was created by combining two rooms, resulting in an independent world dedicated to relaxation and complete privacy.

“In short,” conclude the designers, “we can say that we have succeeded in creating a villa within an apartment building. Comfortable and impressive.”
