Elegant colour and decorative combinations mark the makeover of a historic villa on the top of Città Alta, Bergamo.
At the highest and most panoramic point of the city, in the historic centre of Città Alta, the renovation and the interior design of an ancient historic house have been entrusted to the care and attention of Studio Blu srl “Eleonora Arreda”, under the direction of designer Delcarro Eleonora and her staff.

The main request of this renovation was an elegant and matching complex, where delicate colours and meticulous furniture choices – including wainscoting and custom-made furniture – could be paired with a variety of fabrics and English-style decorations.
Thus, custom-made volumes and compositions – preferred in light shades of white and blue, grey, and sand – are complemented by the use of different types of wallpaper and refined window curtains, but also by the fabric coverings of upholstered furniture, seats and the master bed, as well as by wonderful ceramics, all merging into a single poetic expression.

The house develops on a single floor, and the carefully studied stylistic mood shows up in its uniqueness as soon as you cross the threshold.
The entrance immediately offers you a double mandatory direction: on one side, you enter the kitchen area, on the other, the bright living room is enhanced by the old fireplace, then leading to the hallway that takes you to the various rooms. From every corner and perspective, you perceive a general symphony of stylistic and chromatic combinations.

The harmony is perfect even in the master suite, which is divided into different communicating areas: wardrobes and wainscoting define the spaces, while the wallpaper features various patterns, from stripes to floral designs.
The decorative harmony is completed with a wonderful collection of painted ceramics with soft and scalloped edges, used as finishing touches in both the bathrooms and the outdoor patio flooring. Everything ends with carefully planned lighting, the result of thorough research in the foreign market.
