Beauty and comfort are the stars of this modern home, able to fulfil every detail for an enveloping and harmonious living path.
This soft-toned abode is located on the main floor of a building in the old town of Mantua. Here, there are two buildings from different periods – clearly visible in the pattern of the ceilings –, which have merged over time, uniformed by a classic Italian herringbone floor.
Since the beginning, the owners had very clear ideas: creating an elegant abode without ever losing sight of the practical side, the mirror of the family’s needs. Therefore, after having identified Gruppo Squassabia – in the figure of architect Roberto Motta as the only contact person –, a continuous and positive confrontation arose, accompanying the whole renovation process in order to reach the goal.

Starting from the entrance, the atmosphere in all the rooms is the same: elegant and relaxing, with attention to every detail. The abode, gathered around a large terrace, is very bright, almost distorting the classic indoor-outdoor relationship of city environments.
It is interesting that in the living path there is no dominant centre: all the rooms have their specific strengths and are harmoniously connected with clearly legible passages or, on the contrary, perfectly integrated into the customdesigned furnishings

The large entrance corridor connects the living room to the eat-in kitchen, where the volumes and lines contrast with the light table and the monolithic island. The equipped kitchen wall hides two passages that lead to the utility areas.
In the living room, space expands and the natural light seeps in from two sides, giving the environment a pleasant atmosphere. The rhythms of daily life suddenly slow down, resulting in quietness and hospitality for family and friends.

The master bedroom occupies an important space, which integrates the large walk-in closet and the large bathroom. Here, the pre-existing exposed brick wall blends the environments, thanks to glass screens that let the view flow.
Two other bedrooms with en-suites and utility areas complete this elegant abode.
